About the position
The Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations, primarily focused on dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position is integral to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations while working as part of a coordinated care team to support individuals with mental health and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
- Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
- Verifies medication stock and enters data input to maintain inventory records
- Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active and Unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Indiana
- Access to reliable transportation
