About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Filling/Production Department. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and label prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of compounded medications.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with stock management.
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Support the pharmacists in daily operations and patient care initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with training new staff members as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred.
- Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, especially in a closed-door setting, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in pharmacy software and technology.
