The Phlebotomist Back Office Assistant at ARC Health & Wellness plays a crucial role in supporting the medical office's operations, particularly in assisting with patient care management and administrative tasks. This position requires phlebotomy experience and involves working closely with physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office functioning.

  • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Interviewing patients and measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
  • Performing venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice.
  • Conducting in-office testing such as PFT, hearing, and vision testing.
  • Maintaining infection control protocol.
  • Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record and in paper charts, ensuring accuracy and signatures.
  • Assisting with daily administrative duties, including covering the front desk and answering multi-phone lines.
  • Filing patient charts accurately, including scanning documents into files as necessary.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and obtaining medical records from other facilities.
  • Phlebotomy experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Critical thinking skills with a high acuity in details.
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
