Requirements

  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

  • Experience in a medical or clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with laboratory technology systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
  • Administer oral solutions as per training guidelines.
  • Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
  • Accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as needed.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory management, sanitizing, and filing.
  • Comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data as required.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance and temperature logs.
  • Complete online and in-person training courses in a timely manner.
