Responsibilities

  • Cover phlebotomist duties within assigned territories, including Patient Service Centers and doctor's offices.
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
  • Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
  • Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Coach, mentor, and instruct new employees, serving as a resource advisor on-site.
  • Provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor regarding site operations.
  • Travel to additional doctor's offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum of two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.

  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
