About the position

LifeShare Blood Center is seeking a Phlebotomist for mobile collections to join their team of blood collection specialists. This role involves traveling to various locations to register blood donors, conduct medical screenings, perform phlebotomy, and provide care to donors during and after the donation process. The phlebotomist plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe blood supply for the community and creating a positive donor experience.

Responsibilities

• Register blood donors and conduct medical screening assessments to determine suitability for donation.
• Perform phlebotomy and provide care to donors during and after the donation process.
• Load equipment and supplies onto the mobile donor coach for travel to various locations.
• Interact positively with the public and ensure a dependable and punctual service.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor information at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete a CPR/First Aid course within the first 6 months of employment.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete in-house Donor Services Training Program and proficiency checks within the first 90 days of employment.
• Effective communication skills and a positive approach toward donors and team members.
