About the position

The Phlebotomist - Mobile Collections role involves traveling to various locations to collect blood donations, ensuring a positive experience for donors while maintaining safety and professionalism. This position is part of a mobile operations team, requiring flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work in diverse environments. The phlebotomist will be responsible for registering donors, conducting medical screenings, performing phlebotomy, and providing care during and after the donation process.

Responsibilities

  • Register blood donors and administer medical screening assessments to determine suitability for donation.
  • Perform phlebotomy and provide care to donors during and after the donation process.
  • Load equipment and supplies onto the mobile donor coach and work in limited space.
  • Create a positive donor experience to encourage return donations and ensure a safe blood supply.
  • Interact with the public in a professional and positive manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of in-house Donor Services Training Program and proficiency checks within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or completion of a Company-approved course within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of all collection methods and ability to manage collection events.
  • Dependable, punctual, and possess effective communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information.
