About the position
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Phlebotomist will play a crucial role in our medical facility by performing blood sampling, vital sign assessments, and specimen collection processing with precision and care. This position is available on our afternoon/night shift.
Responsibilities
- Conduct venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens for medical testing
- Ensure accurate labeling, handling, and transportation of blood samples
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the laboratory
- Utilize medical terminology proficiently to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Provide exceptional patient service during the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient specimen processing
Requirements
- Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and procedures
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Program with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a practicing phlebotomist
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
