Phlebotomist

About the position

The Phlebotomist position involves performing blood draws and related tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a contract position with flexible scheduling based on staffing needs, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and other phlebotomy-related tasks.
• Ensure quality and error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Provide excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry related to patient information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Nice-to-haves

• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred.
