About the position

Salt & Pepper Clothing Inc. is seeking a talented Photo Editor and Social Media Content Creator to join their creative team. This role is crucial for the photoshoot workflow, involving planning, capturing content for social media, retouching images, editing video clips, and creating engaging visual content. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, with a particular focus on Adobe Photoshop, to edit and enhance images.
• Collaborate with the photo team to retouch product photography to company standards with retouching, cropping and adjusting color, saturation and brightness.
• Demonstrate proficiency in selecting, masking, manipulating, and removing items from images, as well as cleaning backgrounds.
• Maintain consistency in image quality and aesthetic across a high-volume production environment.
• Create social media posts using stills, behind the scenes video and engaging reels content.
• Participate in photo shoot concept sessions to brainstorm on new ideas on aesthetics, props, locations and shooting styles to tie together our wholesale/retail site along with social media platforms.
• Archive and maintain digital assets organized in server.
• Stay organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet project deadlines effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum of 1+ years' experience in a professional retouching role or equivalent.
• Portfolio with before and after samples.
• Active Social Media account examples.
• Strong knowledge of photo editing software including Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficiency in video editing softwares or apps.
• Must be capable and comfortable working in a Mac environment.
• Keen eye for detail and a strong aesthetic sense to consistently deliver high-quality retouched images.
• Highly organized and ability to multitask multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills and working collaboratively within a team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and efficiency.
