About the position

The Photo / Video Project Coordinator at Texas A&M University is responsible for implementing strategies and overseeing the production of photography and videography to support the Division of Marketing and Communications. This role involves visual storytelling, video journalism, and digital filmmaking to fulfill the university's mission. The coordinator will work collaboratively with various teams to create compelling digital media content and maintain a digital asset management system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create photos and videos to fulfill the mission of the Division of Marketing and Communications.
• Oversee the production of photography and videography needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external marketing and communications teams to produce and edit digital media content.
• Recommend creative vision for projects and properly archive digital assets.
• Supply local, national, and world media with imagery of campus and events.
• Provide consulting and support to the campus community on effective imagery and videography.
• Maintain awareness of current photography and videography production trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years' experience in a creative work environment producing photography and video projects.
• Proficiency with Macintosh systems and utilities.
• Mastery of digital SLR and Cinema cameras, image editing, and post-production editing.
• Proficient in Apple Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Nice-to-haves

• Five years' experience in video production and photography.
• FAA - Part 107 Drone Certification.
• Proficient with 3 axis gimbals, manual and automatic sliders, and external recording devices.
• Drone photography and videography skills.
