About the position

The Photographer and Videographer position at Oregon State University (OSU) is a part-time role focused on capturing and creating visual content for the College of Forestry's marketing and communications team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and creative individual skilled in visual storytelling, responsible for producing digital assets that highlight various college activities, faculty and student profiles, and significant research initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, contributing to the college's efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Providing digital asset management tasks, including responsibility for securing and tracking model releases
• Capturing photography and videography for digital content & storytelling
• Editing video and photo content in Adobe Creative Suite
• Attending College of Forestry events to capture visual assets
• Collaborating with other student workers to develop social content, serving as back-up social media content developer
• Supporting College of Forestry merch store and inventory management
• Performing additional activities as assigned

Requirements

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard: High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program; Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term; Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in fine arts, public relations, communications or related fields
• Driver's license
• Experience with DSLR cameras
