Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos for print, digital, and social media.
• Produce compelling visual stories that reflect the community's essence.
• Write clear and accurate captions for all visual content.
• Cover a variety of topics including breaking news, sports, features, profiles, enterprise, and investigations.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
• Track and respond to audience metrics to improve content effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of professional photography and videography experience.
• Exceptional craftsmanship and technical skills in photography and videography.
• Proficiency in photo and video editing software such as Photoshop and Adobe Premiere.
• Ability to track and respond effectively to audience metrics.
• Experience shooting and editing with an iPhone.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Experience building a brand on key social media platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with student publications or internships in journalism.
• Command of journalism law and principles of ethical conduct.
