About the position

The Photographer/Videographer at New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology is responsible for producing high-quality photos and videos that align with the institution's mission and strategic goals. This role involves managing photo and video requests from various campus constituents and the Office of University Marketing and Communications, ensuring that the visual content effectively communicates the spirit and objectives of New Mexico Tech.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal photographer and videographer for New Mexico Tech.
• Generate, field, and manage photo requests for various platforms including website and social media.
• Take and edit photos as per the requests received.
• Generate, field, and manage video requests.
• Plan, produce, and edit videos for web and social media, including conceptualization and storyboarding.
• Conduct research, reporting, interviewing, and scripting for video content.
• Coordinate logistics for video production, including technical aspects like audio, lighting, and editing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in photography and videography.
• Strong editing skills for both photos and videos.
• Ability to conceptualize and storyboard visual content.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with digital platforms and social media.
