About the position

The Photojournalist / Multi-Skilled Journalist position at TEGNA Inc. involves capturing and editing compelling news stories in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Capture video and audio elements for news, sports, and feature stories.
• Edit stories using the Edius non-linear editing system.
• Provide editorial input and collaborate on stories and newscasts.
• Operate live remote equipment, including microwave and bonded cellular.
• Familiarize with distribution platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Expand duties to include writing and voicing stories.

Requirements

• College degree preferred.
• Entry-level position requiring mastery of Edius non-linear editing systems.
• Complete newsgathering skills including videography, editing, and writing.
• Ability to creatively tell news stories with strong audio and visual skills.
• Capacity to make quick decisions under pressured deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
