Responsibilities

  • Create quantum devices with record low error rates using state of the art semiconductor technologies.
  • Work with process, hardware, and metrology team to develop new thin film materials and processes for quantum devices.
  • Collaborate with customers, start-ups, or universities to measure material properties.
  • Design and conduct experiments, metrology data collection and analysis.
  • Explore new growth areas leveraging Applied's expertise in precision material engineering.

Requirements

  • PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing of quantum devices.
  • Experience with photonic qubits or integrated photonics.
