About the position

The PHP Developer will be responsible for migrating legacy Cold Fusion applications to modern platforms, providing software design and development services, and managing software deployments through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). The role involves developing solutions on the SuiteCRM low code platform, primarily using PHP, MySQL, and Apache, and includes reporting on project specifications and documentation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy Cold Fusion applications to modern platforms.
• Provide software design and development services for web applications.
• Manage software deployments using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Develop software solutions using PHP, MySQL, and Apache.
• Develop solutions on the SuiteCRM low code platform.
• Report on software project specifications, activities, and status.
• Perform documentation tasks related to software development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience in software development.
• Proficiency in ColdFusion, LAMP stack, JavaScript, MySQL, and Linux.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Version control experience using GIT or similar tools.
• Ability to connect to and navigate Linux systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with custom-build PHP applications in production.
• Understanding of web-application security and testing practices.
• Experience with automating deployments using Ansible.
• System administration experience on Windows.
• Knowledge of penetration testing and static code analysis.
• Experience with automated testing using Selenium or JMeter.
• Familiarity with federal government IT security standards.
• Knowledge of SuiteCRM/SugarCRM.
