About the position

Glow Networks is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our dynamic team in Morrisville, NC. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of strong experience in PHP and related web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This role requires proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony, as well as a solid understanding of SQL and database design. The PHP Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. In this position, you will work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic. You will also be involved in the design and implementation of RESTful web services and APIs, ensuring seamless communication between the server and the client. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. The successful candidate will have experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and will be familiar with Agile development processes and Scrum methodologies, utilizing tools like JIRA for project management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Proficient in SQL and database design.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as Vue.js, React.js, or AngularJS.
• Good understanding of RESTful web services and API design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
