About the position

The PHP Developer position is a remote contract role focused on developing and testing web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in front-end technologies and object-oriented PHP programming, along with experience in various programming languages and database administration. This role requires effective communication skills to convey technical information to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test web applications using PHP and front-end technologies.
• Utilize object-oriented PHP programming principles in development.
• Perform data analysis and present findings in an understandable manner to customers.
• Work with various programming and scripting languages including Python, Java, and PowerShell.
• Administer databases such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server.
• Collaborate with team members to identify automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Experience in development and testing of web applications.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages including Python, PHP, Java, and PowerShell.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Experience with database administration/DDL (Oracle, DB2, and/or SQL Server).
• Experience performing data analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
