About the position

As a Level 3 PHP Developer, you will be integral to the design, development, and maintenance of web-based software products. This role demands extensive PHP development experience, a solid understanding of SQL databases, and proficiency in frameworks like Phalcon. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrating technical expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and quality assurance to develop scalable and maintainable web-based software solutions.
• Design and implement robust PHP code to meet project requirements and industry best practices.
• Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval using SQL databases.
• Utilize frameworks such as Phalcon or similar technologies to accelerate development and enhance code maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing or production and implement timely and effective solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in web development, and proactively apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to deploy and maintain applications on remote servers, such as DigitalOcean.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentorship activities to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in PHP development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL database design, optimization, and querying.
• Experience working with PHP frameworks such as Phalcon, Laravel, Symfony, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
