This is a great opportunity for a driven ecommerce developer to help shape the future of Davidson's digital experiences. As an Ecommerce Developer, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and troubleshooting open-source ecommerce applications. An Ecommerce Developer at Davidson's should be innovative, demonstrate a passion for technology, and be a deadline-driven self-starter that possess excellent communication and team mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our Marketing, Purchasing and IT departments to ensure Davidson's presents the best experience possible for our users; including user feedback, surveys, and testing.
  • Owning the user experience of features from conception to delivery and beyond.
  • Developing well-structured code in an agile environment.
  • Help in troubleshooting LA/EMP stack components when issues arise.
  • Exhibiting exceptional creative thought and attention to detail.
  • Presenting your work to stakeholders within the organization.
  • Providing recommendations based on data through presentations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A Degree in computer science, IT or similar. (A combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with LA/EMP and various open source CMS & ecommerce platforms.
  • A minimum of 5 years of ecommerce development experience, including homegrown solutions and platforms.
  • A minimum of 3 years of ecommerce architecture experience.
  • Experience interacting with an ERP.
  • Excellent customer service and research abilities.
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP, MySQL, Web Services, APIs, Linux.
  • MySQL DBA and AWS experience is a plus.
  • A willingness to work overtime to troubleshoot critical issues when needed.
  • Acute attention to detail with the ability to manage and maintain multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced working environment.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
