About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fullstack PHP/Laravel developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of web development principles and a passion for building high-quality software.

Responsibilities

  • Migration of existing PHP applications to another cloud environment
  • Integration of existing applications with other applications
  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
  • Integration of data storage solutions, including databases, key-value stores, and blob stores
  • Minor enhancements to existing PHP applications, maintain, and integrate with other Java applications
  • Requires object-oriented expertise
  • Experience developing web-based applications
  • Use a variety of tools to perform performance testing, automated builds, and source control
  • Strong communication skills to effectively share information with customers
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Requirements

  • Good experience in software development process
  • Expertise in Laravel and/or CodeIgniter
  • Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Experience in advanced UI/scripting frameworks such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience in working on AWS Cloud-based PHP applications
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
  • Strong skills working on MVC design pattern
  • Good experience in API development
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL/Postgres SQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Experience in at least one of the following configuration management tools: PVCS, Subversion, and build automation tools such as Gradle, Maven, ANT, BuildForge or similar

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Micro Services/Frameworks
  • Any knowledge/experience in cloud-cloud application porting
