About the position

The PHP/Laravel ReactNative Developer at DoNotCarry is responsible for developing and maintaining full-stack applications that enhance the delivery and shipping experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement features, optimize performance, and ensure smooth deployment through DevOps practices. The developer will work with a tech stack that includes PHP/Laravel for backend development and React Native for frontend applications, adhering to Agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient full-stack solutions using PHP/Laravel and React Native.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features, resolve bugs, and enhance user experiences.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment using agile and DevOps practices.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and support, while following Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Conduct peer code reviews via pull requests (PRs) and maintain comprehensive documentation for features and updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and user experience, staying updated with the latest technologies and practices.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PHP/Laravel for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with React Native for mobile and web frontend.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum workflows and tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of payment gateway integration (Stripe or Paypal).
  • Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
