About the position

We are seeking a PHP Web Developer to join our client's team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves developing and maintaining web applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Vue.js, with a focus on ensuring scalability and high availability through MySQL databases. The developer will work in a hybrid/remote environment and will be responsible for utilizing source control systems and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, Vue.js and JavaScript
• Designing and developing databases with a strong focus on scalability and high availability using MySQL
• Working with source control systems and version control to manage code versions and changes
• Utilizing Docker/Kubernetes to create containerized, distributed environments for application deployment
• Solving problems and communicating solutions effectively within the team
• Adhering to Agile Scrum methodologies for project management and workflow
• Implementing JavaScript Libraries to enhance web application functionality
• Ensuring web development practices align with industry standards and trends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PHP Web Development
• Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodology
• Extensive experience with JavaScript Libraries
• Strong knowledge of MySQL databases
• Demonstrated skill in Web Development
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Familiarity with web server technologies like Node.js or Apache is a plus
• Understanding of web security practices
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
