About the position

The Physical Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the tactical and operational deployment of inventory accuracy systems across multiple sites. This role involves creating and implementing a physical inventory strategy, overseeing the Cycle Count Program, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal regulations. The manager will lead a team to enhance inventory accuracy and effectiveness while fostering a collaborative culture and supporting the growth of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tactical and operational deployment of inventory accuracy systems across all sites.
  • Create and manage physical inventory strategy for all internal and external locations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage Cycle Count Program and SOPs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage work order program and SOPs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage access point, scan control and Inventory Handling SOPs for all sites.
  • Identify relevant and actionable KPIs and lead indicators of the area and team performance and develop methods of collection and reporting.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Proactively seek new opportunities and challenges; take ownership and accountability for enhancing results or minimizing problems.
  • Recruit and retain high-performing talent, set high standards for performance, and create a collaborative culture.
  • Support the growth of others by providing regular feedback, fostering connections, and formulating individualized development plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years' experience in an inventory focused role in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory control best practices and procedures
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with >1000 unique SKUs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of company staff
  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.
