About the position
The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (PMR) will provide medical directorship for a 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit in Norman, OK. The primary focus will be on inpatient care, with potential opportunities for outpatient clinic work. The role includes collaboration with a Physician Assistant and participation in a weekend call rotation with other medical directors.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical directorship for a 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.
- Consult on inpatient acute care within the health system.
- Participate in PRN consulting at nearby Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
- Engage in a collaborative relationship with rehab staff to grow unit volumes.
- Manage a weekend call rotation with two Internists.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
