About the position

As a Physical Security Officer at Spectrum, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of individuals, property, and sensitive information within corporate campuses and facilities. This role involves maintaining a secure work environment, conducting patrols, monitoring access control systems, and responding to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the premises to ensure safety and security.
• Monitoring access control systems and security cameras.
• Screening deliveries and responding to alarms.
• Implementing the Mail Safe Program and responding to critical incidents.
• Investigating suspicious behavior and security breaches.
• Reporting to the chain of command and internal partners.
• Contacting emergency services as required.
• Identifying and reporting security vulnerabilities and safety issues.
• Creating and updating incident reports.
• Coordinating with internal business partners and adhering to policies regarding sensitive information.
• Maintaining team equipment and ensuring quality of service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to use office software (MS Office - Word, PPT, Excel).
• Ability to operate a radio, telephone, and cellular phone with associated applications.
• Ability to learn Spectrum's access control systems and security technology.

Nice-to-haves

• Security Certification.
• Customer service experience in retail or hospitality.
• Graduate of a law enforcement training academy.
