About the position

The Physical Security Project Coordinator at Allied Universal is responsible for managing, designing, coordinating, and communicating between client project personnel and physical security integration companies. This role involves overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of physical security systems, ensuring effective communication among various stakeholders, and maintaining project timelines and quality assurance measures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new construction or retrofit projects requiring physical security integration, including IP camera, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Coordinate site security designs, Requests for Quote (RFQ), and budget estimations during the preconstruction phase.
  • Communicate with facilities, safety, IT team members, Project Managers, systems administrators, and regional partners.
  • Review design and cost proposals with facilities and the Physical Security Manager.
  • Perform vendor selection and pricing negotiations.
  • Delegate project deadlines and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage the security portion of the project work during the installation phase, including design, installation, and testing phases.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise within each phase of the project.
  • Report project status to the Physical Security Manager.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and implement steps to resolve performance issues and missed deadlines.
  • Design and implement quality assurance measures and confirm customer satisfaction post-installation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education or work experience in security system technology, networking, and/or administration.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and office management technology.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple competing assignments and deadlines.
  • Good independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study.
  • Experience with Honeywell ProWatch, Axis Camera Station, AXIS cameras.
  • Professional security system design and integration experience.
  • Knowledge of/certifications in Milestone, and Qognify/Ocularis video management systems.
  • American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) membership.
  • Project management experience.
