About The Position

The Physical Security Specialist at Pinkerton will support the Client's security leadership in implementing safety measures and protocols at designated locations. This role involves maintaining secure environments, providing technical support, responding to incidents, and assisting in risk assessments and mitigation strategies under the guidance of the Client's security management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Criminal Justice is preferred.
  • At least two years of physical security program experience.
  • The Illinois PERC is required.
  • Access control platform experience with ProWatch is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of the Client's technology and systems.
  • Coordinate and support the Client's physical access control program.
  • Utilize technical expertise to serve as a first-level troubleshooter for hardware or software issues that adversely impact the access Control Program.
  • Support access control platforms such as ProWatch.
  • Monitor CCTV and troubleshoot Control Program issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Control Program requirements and Client policies.
  • Conduct audits and address vulnerabilities, as required.
  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of Control Program performance.
  • Update training procedures or instructions, as necessary.
  • Effectively collaborate with a variety of internal Client teams.
  • Partner with the signature security integrator for maintenance, repair, or installation of physical security hardware and associated systems.
  • Support system integrations and upgrades.
  • Assist with a variety of day-to-day Client operational needs; issue badges to support new employee orientation.
  • Enable and disable badge access as required.
  • Provide daily support for visitor management to Client sites.
  • Perform weekly access control/attendance reporting at Client sites.
  • Provide event security assistance, as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
