About the position

The Physical Security Specialist serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative for security-related purchases and services within the U.S. Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). This role involves providing operational support for Anti-terrorism (AT) and Physical Security (PHYSEC) to DCMA field organizations, developing security programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies. The specialist acts as a liaison with various federal law enforcement and security organizations to maintain an effective security posture at DCMA activities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the Contracting Officer's Representative for security-related purchases and services.
• Provides advice in the management of a facility guard force.
• Liaises with host installation and other federal government law enforcement, intelligence, and security organizations.
• Writes comprehensive AT/Physical Security related reports, statements of work, and plans and procedures.
• Develops AT/Physical Security programs for assigned organizations and conducts assessments for compliance.
• Serves as the primary AT/Physical Security Officer to Regional and Contract management Commanders/Directors.
• Provides operational Anti-terrorism and Physical Security support to DCMA field organizations.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• One year of specialized experience related to physical security or anti-terrorism concepts.
• Experience in planning for future or new physical security requirements.
• Ability to utilize physical security/anti-terrorism concepts to provide guidance to field activities.
