Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  • Develop treatment plans that reflect an understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge planning.
  • Revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
  • Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve performance expectations.
  • Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
  • Complete additional department, organization, or network activities per established objectives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques for rehabilitation.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for evaluation, treatment planning, and execution.
  • Ability to assess and interact with patients and families considering their backgrounds.
  • Computer proficiency required, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
