About the position

The Physical Therapist position at JAG Physical Therapy involves providing compassionate and effective physical therapy care to post-operative patients in an ambulatory surgical center. Responsibilities

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations for post-operative patients.
  • Guide patients through functional mobility tasks to ensure safe discharge.
  • Collaborate with surgical center medical staff regarding patient care and post-operative precautions.
  • Educate patients on safe bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
  • Collect and record patient care data in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare treatment plans based on evaluations and patient goals.
  • Provide interventions that are safe and effective for patient rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate billing and productivity records.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient support systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice (NY, NJ).
  • Completed state regulated CEU requirements.
  • Valid CPR License.
  • Experience with EMR software preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
  • Familiarity with billing and reimbursement systems.
