Responsibilities
- Promotes and maintains health by providing physical therapy services under supervision.
- Records therapy, test procedures, and results as required by hospital and department policy.
- Communicates information to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
- Functions independently in outpatient and inpatient care areas.
- Administers physical therapy treatments including physical agents to patients.
- Administers active and passive therapeutic exercises.
- Observes patients during treatments and compiles data on their responses and progress, documenting appropriately.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
- Current Michigan license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Nice-to-haves
- One (1) year of hospital experience preferred.
