About the position

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position at Renewal Rehab involves providing comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT). The role is dedicated to delivering quality rehabilitation services across various settings, including homecare and outpatient facilities. The PTA will work closely with the PT to ensure effective patient care and documentation, contributing to the overall success of the therapy team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient's progress on weekly progress notes accurately and timely, obtaining the co-signature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
• Complete all required documentation as indicated and according to state guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college with an A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant recognized by the APTA.
• Current license and/or registration as a Physical Therapist Assistant in-state as applicable.
