At Rehab America, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients through compassionate and effective care. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process, working closely with patients who have sustained injuries or disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to implement treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality of care tailored to their individual needs. In this position, you will interact with patients and their families, providing education on the use of therapeutic equipment, home exercise programs, and other techniques essential for recovery. You will also be responsible for administering various treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, gait training, and wound care, all in accordance with the established care plan. Accurate documentation of patient progress and reactions to treatment is vital, as you will be required to maintain detailed records in the patient's medical file. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and instruct Physical Therapy Assistant students and support staff, guiding them in delivering effective patient care. Your role will also involve counseling patients and their families on the use of assistive devices and home exercise techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared for their recovery journey after discharge from therapy services. Rehab America is committed to a team-based approach, collaborating with skilled nursing facilities and other healthcare providers to help adults regain their functional abilities and independence following surgery, injury, or medical crises. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation services and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
