About the position

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position at a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility in Oklahoma City, OK, involves providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic medical/surgical environment. The role is full-time and contract-based, requiring a commitment to working day shifts, specifically 5 days a week for 8 hours each day. The PTA will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and function.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and exercises to be performed at home.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with facility policies.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation center or similar setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
