About the position

Matchwell is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a contract position that offers the opportunity to work closely with patients to assist in their recovery from injuries. The role involves collaborating with Physical Therapists and providing essential support to patients during their rehabilitation process.

Responsibilities

• Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
• Read instructions from Physical Therapist
• Work directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
• Speak with families to find best at-home techniques
• Keep physical therapy clean and organized
• Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
• Complete administrative tasks, like scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
• Teach patients techniques like balance training

Requirements

• Current and active PTA License
• 2 years experience
• Current Tuberculosis screening
• Current ACLS, BLS certifications
• Hepatitis B, Influenza and COVID vaccinations or approved exemptions
• Latex Allergy Screening
• Background and Drug Screening
