About the position

The Physical Therapist Assistant at Team Rehab plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality outpatient physical therapy services. This position focuses on ensuring patient satisfaction and measurable health improvements through effective treatment and education. The role involves supervising aides, re-evaluating patient progress, and maintaining accurate documentation, all while contributing to a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent health care for patients to achieve good outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Treating patients, addressing their concerns, and educating them on their injury, progress, and probable outcomes.
  • Supervising aides during modalities for non-Medicare, non-BCBSM patients, including setup and cleanup duties.
  • Re-evaluating patient progress, revising care plans, and resetting goals as necessary.
  • Determining appropriate discharge times for patients.
  • Writing timely and accurate documentation, including discharges and daily progress notes.
  • Achieving a reasonable level of productivity, expected to be 55 to 60 treatments plus evaluations per week for full-time therapists.
  • Helping to develop protocols for common diagnoses seen in the clinic.
  • Participating in research studies supported by the clinic.
  • Continuing to develop personal skills through company-sponsored continuing education events.

Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant Degree
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license
