About the position

The Physical Therapist at JAG Physical Therapy is responsible for assessing patients and creating effective treatment plans in a supportive environment. This role involves evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery and independence. The position requires a professional license, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient success in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' strengths and weaknesses to devise effective treatment plans.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and practice discretion in all interactions.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge to implement treatment plans and execute daily care.
  • Collect and record patient care data in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare for evaluations by obtaining patient history and understanding diagnoses.
  • Select and administer appropriate tests and measures for patient evaluation.
  • Establish treatment plans based on evaluation results and best practices.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their support systems.
  • Oversee support staff including PTA, ATC, and PT aides.
  • Promote JAG Physical Therapy in the community through lectures and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Completed state regulated CEU requirements in appropriate state (NY, NJ).
  • Valid CPR License.
  • Experience with EMR software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EMR software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement systems and their impact on patient care.
