About the position
The Physical Therapist at Kettering Health is a licensed professional responsible for evaluating and treating patients in accordance with state and national practice acts. This role involves developing targeted treatment plans to address symptoms and functional limitations, while also supervising assistants and students, and ensuring quality patient care through documentation and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients according to state and national practice acts.
- Develop and adjust treatment plans to decrease or eliminate symptoms and functional limitations.
- Provide direct patient care and manage day-to-day patient scheduling.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and students.
- Consult with physicians and other team members regarding patient care.
- Document evaluations, treatment, progress notes, and discharge notes in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Provide clinical education and maintain guest relations.
- Handle billing for patient services rendered.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate required).
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Ohio.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to evaluate, formulate a plan of care, and perform therapy treatments according to the established plan.
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and documentation in electronic medical records.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
