About The Position

PRN Physical Therapist needed to join our MUSC/Florence, SC team! The Physical Therapist II reports to the lead Physical Therapist III. The Physical Therapist II develops and provides optimal patient care by planning and implementing a physical therapy program for individuals based on age-specific and population-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family-directed approach. Under the general supervision of the lead Physical Therapist III functions as a staff therapist. Patient populations served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric for a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, pediatric, medically complex, inpatient, or outpatient throughout the hospital system.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Less than one year experience as a physical therapist; new graduates are welcome.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide optimal patient care through planning and implementing physical therapy programs.
• Serve a diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Address a variety of diagnoses such as neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, and medically complex cases.
• Function as a staff therapist under the supervision of the lead Physical Therapist III.
