About the position

As a Physical Therapist at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients in various rehabilitation settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients' needs for physical therapy and to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with the State of Michigan licensure and the scope of practice for physical therapy. In this position, you will work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team, responding to physician referrals and determining the medically necessary needs of each patient. Your feedback will be essential in guiding patients through their continuum of care, and you will be responsible for maintaining professional competence by identifying educational needs and seeking learning opportunities from more experienced clinicians. You will also be expected to adhere to all licensure, documentation, and billing guidelines while delivering rehabilitation services in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires you to stay current with departmental, hospital, and organizational initiatives, ensuring that you communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and patients alike. You will document patient care thoroughly and accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to patient privacy procedures. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Virginia licensure or transitional license at the time of hire.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) from an AHA approved provider.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills or participation in computer training within the first year of employment.
