About the position
The Physical Therapist (PT) position is a contract role within a well-respected School District in Yorktown, Virginia. The role requires a highly motivated and passionate individual to support a friendly and professional environment while working full-time in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate should have experience in school, early childhood, or pediatric therapy and be available for immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to students in a school setting.
- Support a positive and professional environment for students and staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student care plans.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
- Previous experience in a school, early childhood, or pediatric setting preferred.
- Ability to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with pediatric patients.
- Knowledge of special education processes and IEPs.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs.
