About the position
The Physical Therapist at JAG Physical Therapy is responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses and creating effective treatment plans to aid in their recovery. This role emphasizes maintaining patient confidentiality, utilizing clinical knowledge, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. The position requires a strong commitment to patient success and the ability to operate in a high-energy, positive-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' strengths and weaknesses to create effective treatment plans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and practice discretion.
- Utilize clinical knowledge to aid patients in healing and recovery.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collect and record patient care data according to regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare for evaluations by obtaining patient history and understanding diagnoses.
- Select and administer tests and measures to formulate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Establish treatment plans based on evaluation results and best practices.
- Provide education and training to patients and their support systems.
- Oversee support staff including PTA, ATC, and PT aides.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy preferred, Bachelor's or Master's Degree required.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
- Completed state regulated CEU requirement in appropriate state (NY, NJ).
- Valid CPR License.
- Experience/knowledge with EMR software preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
- Basic computer skills.
