About the position

The Physical Therapist at JAG Physical Therapy is responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses, creating effective treatment plans, and providing high-quality care in a supportive environment. The role emphasizes patient confidentiality, positive encouragement, and the goal of maximizing functional independence for patients. The therapist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient evaluations and progress.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and record patient care data following guidelines and regulations.
  • Prepare for evaluations by obtaining patient history and understanding diagnoses.
  • Select and administer tests and measures to formulate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Establish treatment plans based on evaluation results and best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patients' support systems.
  • Assess and modify treatment plans and goals as needed.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their support systems.
  • Oversee support staff including PTA, ATC, and PT aides.
  • Promote JAG Physical Therapy in the community through lectures and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Completed state regulated CEU requirements.
  • Valid CPR License.
  • Experience with EMR software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
  • Basic computer skills.

  • Experience with EMR software.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement systems and their impact on patient care.
