The Physical Therapy Administrative Assistant at Southern California University plays a crucial role in supporting the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program by managing operations, budget, personnel, and facilities. This position requires collaboration with the Program Director and involves overseeing administrative functions, coordinating travel, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. The role also includes preparing financial reports and managing equipment budgets, making it essential for the smooth operation of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage operations of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to manage budget, personnel, and facilities.
  • Supervise the work of the DPT Program Administrative Coordinator.
  • Assist the Program Director in problem-solving and project management.
  • Advise on strategic planning, operations, budget, and personnel matters.
  • Coordinate travel for DPT Program Directors and faculty.
  • Develop financial and personnel reports for internal and external bodies.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports for financial resource monitoring.
  • Serve as the central contact for institutional administration regarding operations and budget.
  • Order equipment and manage the equipment budget for the DPT Program.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance for DPT Program equipment.
  • Plan and manage onsite lab intensive sessions for the DPT Program.
  • Manage information and instructional technology for the DPT Program.
  • Direct the DPT Program website and hold signatory authority for daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with personnel and fiscal policies.
  • Assist with budgetary aspects of accreditation reporting and self-study accreditation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in higher education administration.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and fiscal management.
  • Experience in logistics and project management.
  • Knowledge of budgetary reporting and financial management practices.
  • Understanding of human resources management practices.
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
