About the position

The Physical Therapy Aide will support the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing various administrative and clinical duties in a rehabilitation setting. This role emphasizes patient interaction, assisting with treatments, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, all while adhering to state practice act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients as they arrive to the clinic.
• Assist physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during patient treatment.
• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, including putting on and removing supportive devices.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
• Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and other modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
• Clean work area and equipment after treatment.
• Wash linens/towels and maintain linen cabinets.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
• Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
• Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and may order inventory.

Requirements

• High school graduate or intern preferred.
• Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to document projects clearly and manage production.
• Attention to detail and time management skills are required.
• Energetic and a team player with compassion toward patients.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.

• Experience in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with physical therapy modalities.
