About the position

The Physical Therapy Aide at Athletico Physical Therapy plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation process by assisting clinicians and enhancing the patient experience. This part-time position involves a combination of administrative and clinical duties, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a welcoming environment. The aide will work closely with physical therapists and assistants, contributing to the overall mission of empowering individuals and transforming lives through exceptional rehabilitative services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments by assisting with supportive devices.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients during exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
• Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
• Clean work areas and equipment after treatments, maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Wash linens and towels, and maintain linen cabinets.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and treatment areas as needed.
• Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
• Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and assist in ordering inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion toward patients and provide exceptional service.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.
