The Rehabilitation Aide position at Athletico is designed to empower individuals by providing exceptional rehabilitative services that emphasize education and prevention of future injuries. This role is integral to the patient experience, as the Rehabilitation Aide will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians in both administrative and clinical duties. The Aide will greet patients upon their arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment, and will work closely with physical therapists and physical therapist assistants during patient treatments. This collaboration is essential for delivering high-quality care in compliance with state practice act requirements. In this role, the Rehabilitation Aide will prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, which includes assisting them in putting on and removing supportive devices. They will also safeguard, motivate, and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities under the guidance of professional staff. Routine treatments such as applying hot/cold packs and utilizing modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation will be part of their responsibilities. Additionally, the Aide will maintain cleanliness in the work area and equipment post-treatment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff. The position also involves administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork. The Rehabilitation Aide will assist in tracking both non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic, which may include ordering inventory as needed. This multifaceted role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, all while demonstrating compassion towards patients.
