About the position

The Physical Therapy Aide at Athletico Physical Therapy plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation process by assisting clinicians and enhancing the patient experience. This part-time position involves a combination of administrative and clinical duties, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care while adhering to state practice act requirements. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a commitment to patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatments by assisting with supportive devices.
• Assist physical therapists during the administration of treatments and provide routine treatment.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients in practicing exercises and functional activities under professional staff direction.
• Provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and other modalities like Ultrasounds and Electrical stimulation.
• Clean work areas and equipment after treatment, and maintain linen cabinets.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
• Assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.
• Keep track of non-medical and medical supplies for the clinic and may order inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and time management skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred.
• Energetic and a team player with the ability to demonstrate compassion toward patients.
